Overview & Reviews
For 2004, the Grand Cherokee gets a factory-installed DVD navigation system integrated into the radio. Columbia, Freedom and Special Edition trims are also new for 2004. All of these models incorporate subtle cosmetic touches and equipment upgrades. Additionally, each Columbia Edition Jeep comes with a complimentary Columbia parka.
- Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.
- Noisy and unrefined, questionable reliability, trucklike on-road handling.

Love the car but a big time gas guzzler - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By athena carter - September 5 - 5:33 pmI just bought my Jeep it had about 6100 miles on it already. I love the car its very comfy and feels very safe. Except for when u turn fast or slow it seem top heavy. Also the mpg is not that good. I drove my car for 3 days and already was at half a tank. Its a big time gas guzzler.

2004 JGC Limited - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By salmuabe - August 28 - 10:00 amTraded in my 2000 JGC Laredo (V8) for the 2004 JGC Limited (V8). Fourth Jeep I have owned...not as "problem free" as some imports but Jeep lovers tend to be loyal! Beautifully styled SUV, nice medium size. The V8 makes the JGC as quick as many alleged sports cars and is usually faster. A light tap on the accelerator gives a suprising burst of speed. Overall, a head turner, fun to drive, easy on the eyes. Fun to drive and recommended to anyone considering a JGC.

Love everything but dust leaks - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Diane T - July 11 - 8:50 pmLove my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition. It handles like a luxury vehicle but drives with confidence in all the various conditions we get throughout the year in the central USA.

poor interior design - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By gram gram - July 4 - 10:00 amthe inside was poorly designed. there isnt enough leg room on a long trip. not enough places to put glasses and things. I feel closed in the jeep should be wider. Other than that I love my jeep

Jeep Review - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Gail Bratholt - June 2 - 2:00 amThe 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado is an excellent vehicle. I previously had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado and traded it for the 2004 model. It is a very dependable vehicle.

3rd Grand Cherokee and final one! - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By Marmay - June 2 - 2:00 amOur 3rd GC a Christmas present. At 200 miles the "check engine" light came on.It was fixed. Every 200 miles after that it came on also, after 1,000 miles Chrysler is buying back to SUV. Faulty software in this model when fuel tank is 1/2 full and going up steep hills!

problem already - 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee
By dentman09 - May 27 - 7:06 pmI bought this vehicle when it came to my bodyshop for some paint work, did a carfax and it was a 1 owner with low mileage, very clean, ran fine for two days, then the oil pressure gauge kept going on and off. I presume it needs an oil pump at 55,000 miles. Not happy.
